Every day people contact us for a wide variety of reasons often in need of help and advice to manage better at home. Working closely with health and other agencies, we support people in a number of ways:-
- Giving information and advice about equipment and services that can make their lives easier.
- Assessing needs, starting with the individuals aspiriations and potential.
- The development of support plans in partnership with the individual in order to enable the individual to plan for their future.
- Offering ongoing social work professional support where appropriate.
- Regurlarly monitor and review individual care packages to ensure indivivual needs continue to be met appropriately.
- Listening to service users and carers and tailoring care to their individual needs

Services for Adults in Gateshead provide targeted specialist social care assessment and support services to adults living in Gateshead, To do this we rely upon a large staff team including Social Workers, Assessing Officers, Social Work Assistants, Promoting Independence Centre Managers and their staff group as well as Domiciliary Care Service Managers and their team, Team Managers, Service managers and administration staff.
